Base camp is the team that stocks the supplies and keeps the climber going. Monthly donors are base camp for Maria's students: the steady support that keeps them in school between the headlines.

Why monthly

Fees come due every year. Campaigns don't.

Between 2020 and 2024 our income swung from £33,750 in one year to £101,550 the next. That is what happens when a charity depends on one-off campaigns.

School and university fees arrive on the same dates every year. Monthly gifts match that rhythm, so we can promise a student a full degree, not just a first term.

Does my gift pay for Maria's expeditions?
No. Expeditions are funded by sponsors and Maria personally, and our running costs are covered privately. 100% of public gifts go to students. See how it works.
Can I change or cancel my gift?
Yes, at any time, from the link in your receipt email or by writing to us. There's no minimum term.
What is Gift Aid?
If you pay UK income or capital gains tax, Gift Aid lets us claim an extra 25p for every £1 you give, at no cost to you. Just tick the box when you give.
I live in the US. Can I give tax-deductibly?
A US foundation is being formed so American donors can give tax-deductibly. Until it is approved, you can still give in dollars; leave your email and we'll tell you when the US route opens.
Will I get a receipt?
Yes. Every gift triggers an automatic receipt, including Gift Aid details for UK donors. Questions are answered by a named member of our team within two working days.
